Summer 2025 Engineering Intern (Plastics)

Responsibilities: 

 

The Greif Early Career Program offers a 10-week corporate internship experience. Participants will undertake project-based assignments focused on plastics engineering. 

 

A summer internship at Greif will enable you to: 

  • Apply academic knowledge to gain industry experience 
  • Collaborate with fellow interns on a meaningful to present at the end of your internship 
  • Access professional development opportunities and learning material 
  • Gain clarity on academic and career goals 
  • Assimilate into a corporate team environment 

 

You will have the opportunity to: 

  • Assist in engineering assignments and ongoing projects 
  • Familiarize yourself with departmental functions 
  • Attend internship events, social networking events, and roundtables 
  • Contribute to performance goals and assigned projects 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Plastics Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering, or a similar degree program 
  • Completion of your sophomore year of college prior to the start of your internship preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. 
  • Able to work full-time during the 10-week internship experience beginning May 19, 2025, to July 25, 2025 

 

What sets you apart: 

  • Strong academic background, with a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Proficient in Office 365, specifically Excel 
  • Relevant internship, work experience, or involvement with professional clubs/organizations 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team 
  • Curiosity and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and adaptability skills
